How it works
The site is built from a standard store template, which immediately gives it a professional look. It's promoted through ads on social media or search engines, targeting a sought-after product or a promotion. Prices are noticeably below market, and a countdown timer keeps up the pressure. After payment, either nothing is delivered, or an unrelated item arrives — which is sometimes enough to get a dispute closed. The legal notices, when they exist, are copied from another site, and the only way to make contact is a form that never gets a reply.
Warning signs
- Price far below market for a product that's usually rarely discounted
- Countdown timer or stock displayed as almost sold out
- No verifiable postal address or business registration number in the legal notices
- Contact limited to a form or a generic address
- Payment offered only by bank transfer, prepaid card, or outside usual payment methods
- Recently registered domain name, with no history and no reviews outside the site itself
How to verify
Search for the store's name outside its own site: reviews hosted on the page are written for the seller. Check that the legal notices include a company name and a registration number, and that this information matches the site. Finally, favor a payment method that offers a dispute process: a bank transfer offers almost none.
What to do
Don't finalize the order if the seller can't be identified. No price justifies paying a stranger by bank transfer.

Dispute the payment with your bank, citing non-delivery, and keep all evidence: product page, order confirmation, exchanges. File a police report. Then watch your statement, since the details you provided may be reused.
